Install the Thorlabs

Chrolis software

 on your computer.

2.

provided power cord.

3.

Connect the Chrolis to the PC using the supplied USB cable.

4.

Make sure that the interlock pin is inserted. Alternatively, if you use an external

inter-

lock

, connect it to the 2.5 mm jack.

5.

Lift the handle "RELEASE LLG" on the front side of the CHROLIS

6.

Insert the Liquid Light Guide (LLG) that is connected to the light receiving optical sys-
tem. Make sure to insert the end that is labeled by a yellow band into the CHROLIS.

11.

For detailed information on the software, please see the software manual available on
the

software website

.

 Attention

Please  install  the  software  prior  to  connecting  the  instrument  to  a  PC  via  the  USB  interface.
Use only the supplied high speed (USB 2.0) cable, not full speed (USB 1.1) cables or thin pro-
file cables with increased resistance, as this can cause transmission errors and improper instru-
ment operation!

3.3   Connecting the Optical System

The  light  beam  generated  by  the  Chrolis  is  delivered  to  the  optical  system  via  a  Liquid  Light
Guide (LLG).

Thorlabs provides the

LLG03-4H

which can be inserted in all optical systems with a connection

for Liquid Light Guides of a Ø3 mm core.

Please find below the instructions to connect the LLG with the Chrolis.

1. Turn off the Chrolis using the

ON/OFF switch

located on the front of the Chrolis.

 Warning

Ensure that all LEDs are off and no light is emitted when removing or inserting the

LLG as light exposure might be harmful to eyes.

2. Lift the handle "RELEASE LLG".

3. Insert the LLG into the Chrolis. Please use the end that is labeled by a yellow band.
