Setting the GigE Interface Parameters (for IP
Amethyst III)
You need to define Ethernet port parameters and enable/disable the
bypass feature for each pair of Ethernet ports (Ethernet 1 – Ethernet 2,
Ethernet 3 – Ethernet 4) as described below.
1. Go to the Ethernet Interfaces view.

2. In the tree on the left, click each Ethernet node, then
a. Enter a proper name in the Name field.
b. Select the speed/mode of the Ethernet interface from the Mode
drop-down list. Four Ethernet speed/mode are available: Auto ,
1000 Base-T, Half duplex/100 Base-TX , Full duplex/100 Base-TX .
c. Set the IP address of the Ethernet port in the IP address field.
This address is only used as source address for IGMP requests.
The configured IP address is used for IGMP requests whatever the
input VLAN configuration is.
3. In the tree on the left, click the Bypass node, then enable or disable the
bypass for each pair of Ethernet ports ( Ethernet 1 – Ethernet 2 ,
Ethernet 3 – Ethernet 4 ).
