Agent Settings: containing the SNMP agent configuration (Trap
addressee, etc.)
 Equipment Settings: containing the equipment name and time
settings
 Conformance.
The MIB contains useful information in the description of each field.
The Amethyst III equipment can send notifications to SNMP managers
when the status of the equipment changes (each time an error appears or
disappears).
SNMP Access Rights and Community Strings
To set the community strings, use the Equipment Setup application
(see Section ’Using the Equipment Setup Application’ on page 51) or
the equipment’s front panel, if you have one (see Section ’Front Panel’
on page 26).
