cargo car. Then flip the switch to let the engine go.
Note: If the engine runs continuously for approximately 5 minutes,

BATTERY INSTALLATION
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
In exceptional circumstances batteries may leak fluids that can
cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your product. To avoid battery leakage:
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before being charged.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
• Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. • Dispose of battery(ies) safely.
• Do not dispose of this product in a fire. The batteries inside may explode or leak.
Access the battery compartment by unscrewing and separating the top half of the engine
from the bottom half of the engine. Replace the batteries as indicated inside the battery
compartment. Re-assemble the two halves of the engine, re-insert the screw and tighten.
Batteries included are for demonstration purposes only. For longer life use only alkaline
batteries. If the product begins to malfunction, check the battery installation. You may
need to reset the electronics by removing the batteries and reinstalling them. If the
product continues to malfunction or no longer operates, remove the batteries from the toy
and replace them with fresh batteries. For longer life use only alkaline batteries.

Ensure the ribs of the
house fit into the slots
of the Base Piece
beneath the track.
Attach the sleigh to the door, ensure
the tabs on the underside of the sleigh
fit into the slots on the door.
As the engine passes, Sir Topham Hatt pops out
dressed as Santa!
The engine and Santa race through the
snow-covered tunnel.
Unload the holiday cargo, then release the stop-track to
send the engine on his way.
Load Santa into the first cargo car. Then flip the switch to
let the engine go.
Thomas should move forward in the direction of the arrow.
Raise and close the door.
Place the barrel on the platform of
the Candy Cane Factory.
Set all 3 stop-tracks to "stop".
Note: you can
also build the
set around your
Christmas tree.

Track marking codes are found on the bottom
of tracks and risers.

ONE-TIME SNAP: Assembly step that is marked
with a star is “one-time snap ”. Once this part is
put together, it cannot be taken apart.

While connecting the track (ES7) that are
marked with a triangle , make sure the side
with the triangle always points towards the
lower track.
Note: Some engines may not work on this track set.
•
Some track sections (ES2, ES7) are intentionally
curved, they are not damaged.
