IMPORTANT: Read all instructions before installing poke-through or cover.
NOTE:
This cover is used with a RPT6 Series
Poke-Through. THIS COVER CAN BE OPENED WITH
OUT TOOLS.
Installation Materials Required:
• Ulility Knife to cut carpet.
• RTV Silicone Sealant to seal cover to floor
(prevents water leakage)
• Phillips Screw Driver

1.0 INSTALLATION
1.1 Remove PT6-AC Abandonment / Temporary Cover
(if present) by unscrewing the (4) #6-32 X 1” long
screws, exposing the top rim of the poke-through.
1.2 Install floor covering and trim hole around
poke-through to 7-1/4” diameter. (See Figure 1
and Section 3.0 Template, Floor Cut Out).
1.3 Apply sealant to floor:
1.3.1
Concrete and Carpet:
Apply moderate
amount of RTV silicone sealant directly to
concrete floor fully around top rim of
poke-through. Use enough sealant to block
water entry. (See Figure 1).
1.3.2
Tile, Wood and Linoleum:
Appy moderate
amount of RTV silicone sealant directly to
finished floor. Fully surround 7-1/4“ opening
in floor. Use enough sealant to block water
entry (See Figure 1).
1.4 Install new RPT6-CVR-XXX cover. Remove lid
from cover to expose (4) mounting holes. Orient
cover so that latch is on best side for application.
Install the cover using the (4) #6-32 x 1” long
screws, furnished with cover (See Figure 1).
1.5 After cover is screwed to poke-through, close lid
(See 2.4) and push down on top to fully seat cover
to floor. Clean excess sealant around cover edge.
(See Figure 2).
