Hardware installation
2.2 Installation instructions
Before installing your imPULSE S.U.M., ensure that no damage has
occurred during shipping. If your system has been damaged, contact
your sales representative immediately.
Follow the steps outlined in the imPULSE Single-Use Mixer Unpacking
Guide (DOC0074) to unpack and move the vessel to the desired
location in the facility.
Note:
It is the end user’s responsibility to prevent the system from
movement and tipping by assessing the building structure for the
designated equipment, ensuring correct seismic anchoring/tethering
designs for both the equipment and facility.
2.2.1 Moving the imPULSE S.U.M.
All manual movements of mobile imPULSE S.U.M hardware should
be made over smooth surfaces, with the imPULSE S.U.M. empty and
disconnected from all power and gas/feed sources. All load cells must
be fully locked down in order to move the S.U.M. Moving the imPULSE
S.U.M. while the load cells are unlocked may cause damage to the load
cells.
Note:
The imPULSE S.U.M. is shipped with the load cells in the locked
position.
Locking and unlocking load cells
Follow the steps below to prepare load cells for use. A Mettler Toledo
™
load cell unlocking kit (not provided; Mettler Toledo part number:
