The filter system consists of a set of HEPA prefilters [10] (the number of filters depends on
the overall width of the workspace) and two HEPA filters [2] and [5] for the downflow and
exhaust air flow.
HEPA Prefilter:
Due to the compact size of the filter cartridges, filter replacement can be achieved with
minimum contamination. The use of prefilters relieves the workload on the downflow and
exhaust filters considerably.
The filter cartridges used are Class H14 HEP filters (to DIN EN 1822). Alternatively,
activated carbon filters can be inserted into the casing as odour filters.
Ambient air [11] is drawn in through the working opening. In the intake area above the
prefilter, ambient air and exhaust air from the device [7] mix to form blend air [8]. This
blend air is then:

drawn into the prefilter [10], then filtered and channeled to the air duct [9].
