19. To save the selected spectrum as an OMNIC format .SPA file, click
SAVE Spectrum
.
To select a spectrum, click its
in the spectral pane. To select additional spectra, hold
down the Shift key while you click another
. Multiple selected spectra are
saved as an OMNIC .SPG file. SPA and SPG files can be opened using the Thermo
Scientific OMNIC Workstation for DXRxi Raman Imaging Microscope application for
further processing.
20. Right-click the acquired chemical image for these options for copying and saving data:
•
Copy preview as picture
. Copies the chemical image to the Windows Clipboard.
The copied image can be pasted into any word processing, presentation or other
compatible application. The resolution of a copied image will be the same as the
computer’s display monitor (typically 72 dpi or 96 dpi).
•
Save preview as TIFF
. Saves the chemical image as a TIFF file (.TIFF filename
extension), which can be imported to a wide selection of publishing, page layout,
scanning, faxing, word processing and other applications.
•
Export preview data as ENVI
. Exports the chemical image as an ENVI file (.ENVI
file name extension), which can be opened with the Thermo Scientific Atlμs and
OMNIC Workstation for DXRxi Raman Imaging Microscope software, MATLAB
software or other similar applications.
•
Send preview to OMNIC/Atlμs as .MAP
. Sends the selected region to
OMNIC/Atlμs software as a .MAP file. If the computer has the Thermo Scientific
Atlus and OMNIC Workstation for DXRxi Raman Imaging Microscope software
installed, that software opens with the image displayed in a spectral window.
•
Add preview to analysis window
. Adds the chemical image to the mosaic pane in
both the Acquisition and Analysis windows.
Measure Change Over Time
A region can be acquired repeatedly over time building up multiple ‘frames’ in order to study
how the sample changes over time. The collection can be done at specified intervals or on
input from an external trigger. The data can be viewed in the Acquisition window or the
Analysis window. See
for details.
To set up time-based acquisition
1. Draw one or more regions in the mosaic pane.
2. Click the Time-Based Collect Setup icon
to show the settings.Time-based Collect
