Restoring run methods and other settings
You can restore run methods and other settings from a USB drive to an instrument. The restore feature
can also be used to load run methods onto another instrument in your lab.
To restore run methods and instrument settings:
1.
Insert the USB drive containing the saved run methods and settings into the USB port on the front
of the instrument.

Open the
About the Instrument
screen in one of the following ways:
• Select
Log Off
to return to the
Login Options
screen, then select
About the Instrument
.
• In the
Main Menu
screen, select
Settings Menu
, then
About the Instrument
.
The
About the Instrument
screen is displayed:

In the About the Instrument screen, select
Restore Methods & Settings
, then
Yes
in the message
box.
The instrument copies all run methods, folders, user information, and other instrument settings
from the USB drive to the instrument, then displays a message box when the restore is complete.
4.
Remove the USB drive and store it in a safe place.
5.
Toggle the switch on the back of the instrument to power off.
6.
Toggle the switch again to power on the instrument.
IMPORTANT!
If you restore information to an instrument that is different from the instrument that
provided the backup data and your instruments are on a network, you should change the instrument’s
name. See “Setting the instrument name”
