Disassembly and Replacement 
 

Replacement 
 
1. 

Place the new display in the top cover. Make sure the cables are at the bottom of the display as it 
is located in the cover and the connector is towards the front of the instrument. 

 
2. 

Insert and tighten the four screws previously set aside. 

 
3. 

Attach the cables to the display. 

 
4. 

Replace the top cover (refer to ”Top Cover"). 

 

Keypad 

 

Removal 
 
1. 

Remove the top cover (refer to “Top Cover"). 

 
2. 

Disconnect the ribbon cable from the connector on the Main Circuit board. 

 
3. 

Carefully peel the keypad off the top cover and pull the ribbon cable through the hole in the cover. 
Clean off any excess adhesive. 

 
 

Replacement 
 
1. 

Start the ribbon cable through the hole in the top cover. 

 

CAUTION: 

AFTER THE BACKING IS REMOVED, DO NOT LET THE KEYPAD TOUCH 
THE TOP COVER OR ANYTHING ELSE UNTIL IT IS READY TO BE 
PRESSED IN POSITION OR THE KEYPAD MAY BE DAMAGED TO WHERE 
IT CANNOT BE USED. 

 
2. 

Peel the backing off the keypad, carefully position it over the top cover, and press it into position. 

 
3. 

Replace the top cover (refer to “Top Cover").
