5-7
End
Enter the wavelength or pixel for the end (upper value) of the scans in
this field. The range of acceptable values is from 190 to 800 nm or
from 2 to 511 pixels. The default is 800 nm for absorbance and
pixel 511 for intensity.
Step
Enter the scan data increment value here. The default is 4, i.e., the
detector will send data to the diagnostics at every 4
th
nm or pixel in
the scan range. The acceptable range of interval values is from 1 to
10 (nm or pixels).
Bandwidth
In this field, enter the desired bandwidth for the Savitsky-Golay
filtering when the absorbance mode is selected in the Operations
group. Acceptable values are 1, 3, 5, 7,…, 99 where 1 is equivalent to
no filtering. The default setting is 5 nm for absorbance and 1 nm for
intensity.
If the Start, End, and Bandwidth values conflict, an error message
will automatically be displayed when they are downloaded to the
detector.
Scan Rate
Enter the scan rate in this field. The acceptable values are 0.5, 1, 2, 4,
5, 10, and 20 Hz with 2 Hz being the default for absorbance and 1 Hz
for intensity.
NOTE: The actual scanning of the diode array occurs at a fixed 20-Hz rate.
When you select slower scan rates and/or increments larger than 1, the data
values collected at the intermediate scans and increments are not used.
Discrete Channels
Group
This group contains a single data rate field, in addition to a
wavelength and a bandwidth field for each of the three chromatogram
channels, A, B, and C.
Sample Rate
Enter the desired data-sampling rate for all channels in this field. The
acceptable values are the same as the Scans Rate; 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 5, 10,
and 20 with the default at 10 Hz.
Channel A/B/C Select
You must select the Channel check box to collect data for that
channel. You can select any combination of channels or none.
