2.
Disconnect the connector from the transformer outlet to the
Lamp Power Supply PCBA. Lift up the small tab on this
connector slightly using a screwdriver and pull the
connector free.
3.
Remove the four Phillips head screws holding the transformer
to the bottom of the detector chassis and lift the transformer
out.
4.
Remove the four mounting brackets from the transformer and
set them aside. (These brackets are required to install the new
transformer).
Install a new transformer using the preceding procedure in
reverse order.
Low Voltage
Power Supply PCBA
The Low Voltage Power Supply PCBA is mounted to the floor of the
chassis on the right side of the detector (Refer to Figure 8.1).
To remove this PCBA, do the following:
1.
Disconnect the green and yellow ground lead to the PCBA,
located at the left rear of the PCBA.
2.
Disconnect the two lead connector at rear of the PCBA.
3.
Disconnect the five lead connector at the front of the PCBA.
4.
Grasp the PCBA by its edges and lift the PCBA straight up and
free from the mounting/retaining pins on the chassis floor.
Install a new PCBA using the preceding procedure in reverse order.
Be sure to route the cable from the five lead connector under the
PCBA spacer and retaining screw. The PCBA must be pressed
securely on to the mounting pins on the chassis floor. (The PCBA is
properly mounted if the lower edge of the vertical brackets on the
PCBA are positioned lower than the mounting pins protruding
through the PCBA.)
Cooling Fan
The Cooling Fan is located in the right rear corner of the detector.
To remove the cooling fan (refer to Figure 8.5), do the following:
1.
Remove the four Phillips head screws holding the fan guard
and fan in the back panel of the chassis.
2.
Disconnect the power cable from the top of the fan.
3.
Slide the fan forward slightly and lift it out of the chassis.
