Placing the System in Standby Mode

If you are not going to use the TSQ Quantum XLS or TSQ Quantum GC system for a short
period of time, such as overnight or over weekends, it does not need to be shut down
completely. When you are not going to operate the system for 12 hours or more, you can leave
the system in standby mode.

To place the TSQ Quantum XLS or TSQ Quantum GC system in standby mode

1. Wait until data acquisition, if any, is complete.

2. From the TSQ EZ Tune window, choose

Control > Standby

(or click the

On/Standby

button) to put the mass spectrometer in standby
