Front Door Hinges and Supports



To replace the hinges and supports that connect the front door to the chassis

1. Shut down your system by following the steps in

“Shutting Down the ISQ 7000 System”

page 149

2. Use a T20 Torxhead screwdriver to loosen the left side panel screw from the interior front

panel.

3. Slide the left side panel toward the back of the instrument and lift it off.

4. Look through the left side of the instrument and remove the nut and grounding washer.

Note

You do not have to remove the ion source cartridge or the column or vent the

instrument. If you are using hydrogen as a carrier gas, power off the GC.
