Ion Guide
To replace the ion guide:
1. Shut down your system by following the steps in
“Shutting Down the ISQ 7000 System”
.
2. Remove the analyzer tray from the instrument by following the instructions in
“Removing the Analyzer Tray from the ISQ 7000 Instrument”
3. Remove the ion source cartridge according to
.
4. Remove the wire connecting the quadrupole entrance lens to the source interface board
by unscrewing the terminal with a slotted screwdriver.
5. Remove the screws on each side of the endcaps.
6. Remove the entire quadrupole, as well as the ion guide, from the analyzer tray.
7. Slide the rods and exit endcap off the ion guide and entrance endcap.
