2. Mount the sample cone holder and the sample cone on the cone
tool.
3. Insert the sample cone and the holder in the interface block.
4. Use the cone tool to tighten the gasket hand-tight.
Maintaining the Skimmer Cone
The skimmer cone is less mechanically robust than the sample cone.
The edges of the cone must be sharp and regular. If there is evidence of
damage to the tip, it should be replaced.
The skimmer cone has a replaceable insert that must be replaced
depending on operation conditions.
Removing the Skimmer Cone

To remove the skimmer cone
1. Open the plasma chamber door.
2. Remove the sample cone, see
3. Remove the skimmer cone.
a. Carefully insert the cone tool to grab the skimmer cone.
b. Align the two lugs in the cone tool in the outer edge of the cone
surface.
c. Turn the tool counterclockwise, it will be held in place
magnetically.
