Electromechanical Door Lock
The electromechanical door lock consists of a rotary latch (detail A in Figure 3-17 ) driven by a built-in
motor, a built-in mechanical emergency release lever (detail C) and a closing hook (detail B) mounted
on the inner side of the door.
The door lock is a safety device that denies access to the incubator‘s workspace while the Steri-Run
sterilization routine is running. It locks the door of the incubator as soon as the workspace temperature
reaches, then surpasses 65 °C. When the sterilization routine ends, the door lock assembly releases the
door lock shortly after the temperature has dropped below 65 °C.

When a power outage occurs, the latch retains its current position. Upon return of power, and when
the sterilization routine has been launched and active, the latch unlocks the door automatically when
the temperature drops below 65 °C. If necessary, the door may be unlocked at any time by pulling the
emergency release lever (C) towards the side wall. The emergency release lever is located at the bottom
of the incubator next to the main power switch. To reach it, remove the round cover inserted in the
floor and replace it after unlocking. Detail C of
