SP Sample Preparer Description
3.1 SP Overview
The SP Sample Preparer is equipped with the pumps, valves, and other
components required to prepare samples and standards for analysis. The SP is
available in three versions:
•
The SP1 is preconfigured with the components required for applications that
use sample concentration or direct injection.
•
The SP2 is preconfigured with the components required for applications that
use sample dilution or direct injection.
•
The generic SP can be customized with pumps, valves, and other components
as required for HPLC applications, or for IC applications that use other
sample preparation techniques (for example, dilution with reagent addition).
3.2 SP Enclosures
The SP is available in two enclosure types:
•
The external enclosure sits on the lab bench or is mounted on the outside of an
AE.
•
The internal enclosure is installed inside an AE.
Any SP version (SP1, SP2, or generic) can be housed in any enclosure type. The
type of enclosure required depends on the other modules configured in the Dionex
Integral system.
Figure 3-1 is an example of an installation with an external
enclosure.
