Manually Raising the Sampling Head

Follow this procedure if you need to raise the sampling head out of the carousel
manually (for example, to clear a needle jam).

The following tools are needed to complete this procedure: #1 Phillips
screwdriver and 2.5-mm Allen wrench.

1. Turn off the Dionex AS-DVpower and disconnect the power cord. Raise the

top cover.

2. Remove the Dionex AS-DV front cover by gripping the indentations at each

side and pulling the cover straight off toward you.

3. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the three flathead screws from the

sampling head tower cover (see

Figure 5-1

). Lift up the cover to remove it.
