Removing the Ion Optics and Mass Analyzer

The ion optics and mass analyzer are mounted on a baffle on the underside of
the top cover plate of the vacuum manifold.

Use the following procedure to remove the ion optics and mass analyzer from
the top cover plate. See Figure 5-2 for the location of the ion optics and mass
analyzer components.
