It is suggested that an accurate digital long Stem Thermometer be used to calibrate the thermostat.
If the pilot flame is extinguished, the Thermopile will sense the situation and shut off gas at the
automatic gas valve.
The high Limit safety is factory set at 450°F (232°C). If the oil temperature reaches this value, the sensor
shuts off the supply of gas at the automatic gas valve – don’t attempt to relight/restart the system again
until the oil temperature is below 350°F (177°C) and possibly having the thermostat checked for proper
performance.
Note: due to site and hardware variations the oil temperature may reach 475°F (246°C) before the gas
valve fuel supply is shut off.
This fryer if properly maintained and operated correctly including the daily cleaning will provide years of
reliable, dependable performance making top quality product as it is built and designed to the highest
industry standards. Read the manual and refer to it when appropriate especially if a new operator or
technician is used.
