the external power cable is typically fitted with alligator clips, providing the 
flexibility to connect to any type of battery power source. 

It is recommended that the radio be connected to the receiver and the external battery 
be connected to the Z-Max external power port prior to powering up the receiver. This 
will ensure a clean power-up of the radio.
