3. Defining the height system
- In the lower part of the
Coordinate System
dialog box,
check the desired option (
Ellipsoid elevations
or
Ortho-
metric elevations
). If you choose
Orthometric elevations
,
the
Geoid Model
field just below will automatically be
set to
EGM96 Worldwide Geoid Model
as this is the only
geoid model available in MobileMapper Office.
4. Enabling the chosen coordinate system
- Click
OK
to close the dialog box and enable the coor-
dinate system you have just chosen.
Creating a New Coordinate System
If the coordinate system you should use for a job is not avail-
able from the list and you have the complete definition of
this coordinate system, follow the procedure below to create
this coordinate system in Mobile Mapper Office.
- On the menu bar, select
Options
and then
Coordinate Sys-
tem...
A new dialog box opens showing the name of the
currently used coordinate system (see below). This dia-
log box allows you to create and select a new system.
1. Creating a new Geodetic system
- Click the down arrow on the right of the
System Type
combo box and highlight
Geodetic
. Then click the
down arrow on the right of the
Geodetic Datum
combo
box and highlight the first option in the list (
NEW
).
