Storage
A. Short-term storage
(1) Place a plastic cap on connectors J1 and J5: (3) on J1 and (5) on J5.
(2) Wrap the equipment in grease-proff paper or in neutral unsealed paper.
(3) Place the equipment in a cardboard box.
(4) Make sure the equipment cannot move by packing with waterproof cellulose
wadding.
(5) Place the desiccant in the package together with the wetness indicator
or a sachet with light.
(6) Close the package and seal the joints with adhesive tape.
(7) Mark the package with two labels protected by transparent varnish.
NOTE: The equipment must be stored in a dry place. Never store it near bat-
teries or other items releasing toxic gases, as this can damage the
equipment.
B. Long-term storage
(1) Remove the batteries.
(2) Carry out the operations listed above for short-term storage.
(3) Wrap the package in a heat-sealable canvas.
(4) Heat seal the canvas so that it may be unsealed and resealed at least
three in the future without having to be replaced.
(5) Mark the package and protect the labels with transparent varnish.
(6) Place the package obtained in a second cardboard box.
(7) Close this bix and seal the joints with adhesive tape.
(8) Mark the final package by means of two labels protected by a water-
resistant, transparent varnish.

Removal from storage
After removal from storage and before use, install the batteries and check that the equipment
works correctly.
