Method for current measurement on

the Scanner Card

Multi-point Scanner Card is not allowed of direct current measurements; however,
on-card shunt resistors can be installed for Scanner Card to allow for indirect current
measurements.

How to put a resistor
OP-41

Soldering the resistor on the channel to be measured at the surface of the land where parts
of the OP-41’s PCB are installed. Otherwise, carefully remove the plastic cover and solder
the resistor on the back side of the PCB by inserting it into the land of R1 or R2.

OP-41T

Install the current shunt resistors to a desired channel. Connect the current source to the
shunt resister as shown as figure below.

OP-42

Install the current shunt resistors to J21 or J23.

How to measure the current

The current measurement can be used via application software. It is made by combination of
the DCV measurement and

Current Shunt resistor. Accurately measure the resistance value

of the Current Shunt resistor, then setup

R and I.

(

R= shunt resistance value, I= Offset)

The measurement function of each channel will be limited to the current measurement as
long as the resistors of Scanner Card are not removed. Also please note that there is no
detection function of resistors installation.
