Text is sent to the Alarm Receiving Centre when using SIA II (this
makes the protocol SIA III)

Add Push Message
Required for Texecom Connect to Function correctly. Automatically
enabled when Connect Protocol is selected.
Enable Texecom Connect App
This menu will ONLY be present when the Texecom Connect
Protocol is selected for an ARC. See previous page for details.
Depending on the connection speed you may or may not see some
or all of these screens. The App Code screen is the important one.
The app code generated should be used immediately. If not used it
will expire after one hour.
Keypad Screen Explanation
Press Yes at this screen to initiate
the process
Displayed if the communicator is
already busy (online with some
other ARC or in UDL). Stays on
this screen until communicator is
ready to do this setup call.
Check panel ARC configuration.
This line is displayed if there is no
ARC configured for Texecom
Connect.
Found an ARC to do the setup
call. The setup call is being

Trying to connect to the server
IP connection is established with
the server
Sent all the required details to the

Reply received successfully from

This means the IP connection is
not available for some reason
(either the local IP network is
down or the server is down etc. )

There are 6 options that control how the plug-on communicator
works.
Select options by pressing keys 1 to 8 (a letter on the display means
the option is selected, a Dot on the display means the option is not
selected).
E - Digi is Enabled
The plug-on communicator will report all system events to the Alarm
Receiving Centre.
P - Pulse Dialling
The plug-on communicator will always dial telephone numbers using
pulse dialling.
3 - Pulse After 3
The plug-on communicator will always dial telephone numbers using
tone dialling. However, if the Communicator fails to dial the number
three times in a row, it will revert to pulse dialling for the remaining
attempts.
B - Blind Dialling
The plug-on communicator will not look for a dial tone before dialling
a telephone number.
U - Use MSN/Pre-Dial
The ComISDN will only answer a call when the programmed
MSN/Pre-Dial telephone number is dialled.
A - Dial All Numbers
If the communicator is acknowledged by the first ARC, it will continue
to dial any other programmed ARC. This is normally used when a
second or third ARC is programmed with SMS Messaging.
