Operation
Always check and refill oil before the start!
The oil level should always be between min. and max
on the dipstick Fig. 4 (F). Fill with SAE-30 oil. There
should be total 0.35 liter oil in the engine. Use only
unleaded 98/100 octane fuel to the engine. Never
overfill the tank Fig. 4 (G).
Start the engine(illustration 4):
1. On a cold engine open the choker (A).
Note: By a hot engine choke is not required.
2. Turn the throttle lever on full(B)
3. Pull the recoil starter (E) gently until you feel
resistance in the rope. Then pull quickly and
energetic. Do not at any time let go of the
recoil starter but glide it gently back and pull
again.
4. Regulate the choker (A) until the engine is
running smoothly.
Important:
The engine incline must not exceed 10 degrees!
Operation safety zone
Do not leave the operation safety zone marked in Fig.
6, while working with the machine. If it is necessary to
leave the operation zone, for example to readjust than
first stop the engine.
Height adjustment
The wheel front and right rear can be height adjusted,
so the fit the curb that has to be cut. Fig. 5-1.
Important: Always stop the engine and remove
the sparklplug cap before any adjustment.
Depth and angle adjustment of blade
The blade can be depth and angle
in order
to fit the curb that has to be cut. Fig. 5.(1-3)
1. Adjust the front wheel to the desired height.
2. Set depth adjustment knob to the disired
height (N+1-5)
3. Set the blade angle adjustment lever at the
desired angle.
Note: It might be nessesssary to readjust in order to fit
the tarrain
Blade
Inspection of the blade
•
Inspect blade for damage, cracks or excessive
rust or corrosion.
•
Check that the blade bolt is tightened.
Note:
A dull blade can be sharpened! But a blade that
is worn, bent, cracked or otherwise damaged must be
replaced.
Removing the blade
If you remove the blade to sharpen or replace it, you
must use some heavy gloves to protect your hands.
1. Loosen the blade bolt. Use a piece of wood to
prevent the blade from turning around.
2. Remove the bolt, washer, blade and blade
holder in that order
3. Sharpen or replace the blade.
4. Insert the blade holder, blade, washer and bolt
in that order.
5. Tighten the blade bolt. Use a piece of wood to
prevent the blade from turning around.
Warning: A blade must be sharpened so it is in
100 % balance, otherwise it may cause vibrations that
could damage the engine. Damage to engine due to
faulty sharpening is not covered by warranty. We
therefore recommend letting a service center sharpen
the blade.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
The engine won't start:
1. Check sparkplug.
2. Check that the spark plug cap is fitted
correctly.
3. Check if the motor is equipped with an
ignition switch. (It must be activated)
The engine runs unevenly:
1. Check that the choke has been released.
2. Check fuel for impurities.
If the blade will not turn:
1. Check that the clutch is adjusted
correctly.
