1) Begin by standing the log splitter on one
end. If required use cardboard to avoid
scratching/damaging the machine.
Ensure the legs are positioned correctly
otherwise rod C cannot be fitted!
When the machine is standing as shown
in the image, fit the two legs that are
marked A. Loosely fit the legs so that
you can fit the rest of the machine
before tightening.
Loosely fit traverse rod C, and fit the
rods the machine shall rest on (E). Once
E is fitted, remember the contra nuts for
securing the rods.
Once all of the parts are assembled,
tighten the joints.
2) The machine can now be turned over so
that the legs at the other end can be
fitted. The machine is heavy (53 kg), so
two people may be required to turn it
over.
Loosely fit the legs that are marked B,
so the rod D can be fitted. Once D is
fitted, tighten the bolts.
Fit the two wheels on the outside of the
legs that are marked B.
Next, stand the machine upright and
tighten the bolts.
Lastly, fit the operating lever
Clothing
When working with the machine wear
tight clothing, gloves, ear protection and boots
with non-skid soles.
