10.1 Baseband Filter

Filter Specifications

To configure the board for external reference, implement the following modifications:

•

Change JP1-2,3 and JP2-2,3. Connect external VXCO to J4.

The TSW3003 Demo Kit layout provides the opportunity to place components to realize up to a 5

th

order

LC filter. The Demo Kit is by default populated with a resistive network to provide some attenuation and a
two-inductor network to compensate for the droop caused by the parasitic board capacitance. This
provides about 0.5 dB of ripple up to

±

200 MHz of bandwidth, followed by a slow, low-pass rolloff.
