Switching the vehicle on
Enter the cab. See Access to the cab, page 1.05.
To switch the vehicle on do the following:
1.
Make sure the parking brake is applied.
2.
Insert the ignition key into the ignition
switch on the right side of the steering
column.
3.
Rotate the ignition key to the position 2.
Wait for the vehicle to initialise and the
display panel to illuminate, an audible alert
is heard.
4.
Press the brake pedal and hold.
5.
Rotate the ignition key to the position 3.
Hold the key in this position for 2 seconds
to initalise the drive system.
6.
Release the ignition key back to the
position 2.
7.
The ready to drive lamp illuminates.
The vehicle is now ready to select a
gear and drive.
Switching the vehicle off
To switch the vehicle off do the following:
1.
Make sure the vehicle is stationary.
2.
Set the gear selector to N (Neutral).
3.
Apply the parking brake.
4.
Rotate the ignition key to position 1.
5.
Remove the key from the ignition switch.
