Passenger Front Airbag Must Be OFF
Warning: Never seat a child in a rear-facing child restraint system in the front passenger seat.
DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY to the child could occur. Always ensure this airbag is OFF (see

To disable the passenger front airbag, touch Controls > Safety & Security > Passenger Front

The status of the passenger front airbag displays in the top corner of the touchscreen:
Before driving with a child seat on the front passenger seat, always double-
check the status of the passenger front airbag to confirm that it is OFF.
To protect an adult subsequently occupying the front passenger seat,
remember to turn the passenger front airbag back ON.
Warning: It is the driver's responsibility to confirm that the passenger front airbag is OFF
when a child is seated in the front passenger seat.
Warning: If the status of the passenger front airbag does not match the conditions above,
contact Tesla immediately.
Suitability and Fitting of Child Restraint Systems
All Model X seat belts are designed for adults. When seating infants and children, you must:

Use a child restraint system appropriate for the child’s age, weight, or size (see
Recommended Child Restraint Systems
on page 33).

Use a child restraint system that is appropriate for the specific seating position in Model X. For
details on what type of child restraint system can be used in each passenger seat, see
on page 35,
Second Row Outboard Seats (Bench Seats)
on page 37 or
Second Row Outboard Seats (Monopost Seats)
on page 42.

Properly install the child restraint system by following the manufacturer's instructions (see
Installing Belt-based Child Restraint Systems
on page 43 for general guidelines).
Warning: If your Model X is equipped with second row monopost seats, disable Easy Entry
into the third row whenever installing a child seat in the second row (see
Seats (if equipped) - Monopost Seating
on page 26).
Warning: If your Model X is equipped with bench seats, disable Easy Entry into the first row
whenever installing a child seat in the second row (see
