USING THE PENCIL SHARPENER
$
Set the shredder to AUTO
$
Press the CLEAR button briefly and make sure the cutters are running freely.
$
Insert the pencil in the sharpener .
$
Press and hold the CLEAR button and push the pencil gently into the sharpener.
$
When the sharpening process slows down, sharpening is complete.
$
Release the CLEAR button and remove the pencil.
$
Set the operating switch to OFF.
If the device does not function, check the following:
$
Is the plug connected to the mains?
$
Is the shredder correctly seated on the bin?
$
Is there a paper jam?
$
Has the motor been overloaded?
CARE AND CLEANING
The bin should be emptied regularly. Never let the bin become overfull or the operation of
the shredder may be affected. Before emptying the bin, unplug the shredder, remove and
place it in a safe place. If the bin gets soiled, wipe with a damp cloth and dry.
The shredder housing can be cleaned with a cloth
very
lightly dampened with a mild soap
and water solution
after
the unit has been switched off and unplugged from the mains.
Do not reconnect the shredder until it has dried fully.
NEVER allow water or liquids to penetrate the shredder.
Emptying the pencil sharpener:
Press the sharpener release button.
The sharpener will pop up.
Remove the sharpener from the shredder

Hold the sharpener as shown
$
Carefully pull the cup from the
sharpener to detach it.
$
You may now empty the cup.
$
Re-assemble the sharpener.
