In some countries, it is mandatory for even small
boats to be registered. Check with the local authorities
in your country of residence for the statutory regula-
tions concerning boat registration.
1.7 Manufacturer’s type plate
Some of the technical specifications can be found
on the manufacturer’s type plate, which has been at-
tached to the boat. Supplementary information are
found in this handbook, under the ‘Techincal informa-
tion’ sections.
