Function Pump
How to Remove the Function
Pump
Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,
the O-ring (if equipped) on the fitting and/or hose
end must be replaced. All connections must be
torqued to specification during installation. Refer to
Specifications,
Hydraulic Hose and Fitting Torque
Specifications.
1 Remove the fasteners securing the generator
pump to the function pump.
2 With hoses attached, remove the generator
pump from the function pump.
3 Tag, disconnect and plug the function pump
hydraulic hoses. Cap the fittings on the pump.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic
connections very slowly to allow
the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to
squirt or spray.
4 Support the function pump with a strap and
appropriate lifting device. Do not apply any
lifting pressure.
5 Remove the pump mounting bolts. Carefully
remove the pump.
NOTE: When installing a new pump, it is
necessary to prime the pump. Refer to Repair
Procedure

Drive Pump
How to Remove the Drive Pump
Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,
the O-ring (if equipped) on the fitting and/or hose
end must be replaced. All connections must be
torqued to specification during installation. Refer to
Specifications,
Hydraulic Hose and Fitting Torque
Specifications.
1 Remove the fasteners securing the function
pump to the drive pump.
2 With hoses attached, remove the function
pump (and generator pump, if equipped) from
the drive pump.
3 Tag, disconnect and plug the drive pump
hydraulic hoses. Cap the fittings on the pump.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic
connections very slowly to allow
the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to

4 Support the generator pump with a strap and
appropriate lifting device. Do not apply any

remove the pump.
