Robot
INTRODUCTION
This section provides the operator and the ground staff
a practical guide for the gradual learning of the use of
the machine equipped with robot.
Both operator and ground staff shall have the neces-
sary qualities and shall become familiar with both han-
dler and equipment before starting using them.
This familiarisation ensures not only a proper use during
work, but also a prompt and timely intervention of the
ground staff when sudden manoeuvres to protect the
operator on the work platform and the machine integrity
are required.

For the controls operated from the driving place of
the handler, please refer to the operator’s handbook
of the handler.

COUPLING THE ROBOT TO THE
HANDLER
To couple the robot to the handler, proceed as follows:
•
Release the mounted attachment and store it in a
safe place.
•
Approach the quick coupling frame to the robot with
attachment frame rotated forward (fig. C1).
•
Couple the upper lock of the platform.
•
Retract and lift the robot some centimetres from the
ground. It will center on the attachment frame
automatically.
•
Operate the special control lever to lock the robot
definitively (see par. “
Replacing the attachment
”
in the handler operator’s manual).
•
Disconnect the attachment locking hoses

and connect the robot hoses (fitted with quick
connectors).
