9.8 Vibrating Drawer and Hopper Maintenance
(1) Changing Vibrating Drawer Grids
NOTICE
The feed vibrating drawer of the crusher acts as a proper screen. Grids have been positioned
in the base of the drawer. During vibration, these allow small materials to drop down onto the
evacuator belt. Under the effect of the prolonged dragging of the material, the grids are subject
to natural wear and it is therefore important to check them regularly and replace when worn.
Depending on requirements, grids can be different sizes. This procedure should only be completed
by competant personel or Evoquip Service Engineers.
PROCEDURE
1. Observe all safety warnings.
2. Ensure all material has passed through the crusher.
3. Shut down the machine and implement the lockout and tag out procedure.
4. Remove all the bolts (Item 1) on the Rear plate and the Drawer Grids

5. Remove the side carter (Item 2) and the Fixing Plate (Item 2) from each side of the machine.
