Connecting the Encoder (chassis-based)
For connecting the chassis based encoder, adhere to the following order of steps:
Always
plug in the connector of the power supply to the chassis first. Lock the plug to avoid
pulling it out accidentally.
Connect the power cable to the power supply.
Connect the network cable to the network interface.
For ENC-300-
HDSDI™, Connect your video source unit to the video input of the ENC-300™:

For using a Composite (CVBS), S-Video (YC), YP

or RGB signal, use the Sub-D 26-
pin connector via the breakout cable.

For using an SD/HD-SDI signal, use the BNC connector.
For ENC-300-
HDSDI™, analogue audio, use the Sub-D 26-pin connector via breakout cable.
For ENC-300-
DVI™ and connect your HDMI / DVI source unit to the HDMI input of the ENC-
300™. The ENC-300™ supports also loop through of the HDMI input signal via the HDMI output
interface.
For ENC-300-
DVI™ if you have analogue audio, please use the 3.5 Mini Jack connector.

Front panel connection:
Description:
DIAG:
LED status indicator. The LED indicates the status (operational
state) of the ENC-300 encoder. The status is indicated by the LED
colour and LED flashing (blinking) speed.
LED status:
Description:
Constant green: OK, encoder in operation, encoding video.
Flashing green:
OK, but video input signal is missing.
Flashing red:
Network error. Encoder cannot send data
packets.
Constant red:
General error.
No LED light:
Check power and power supply.
Video:
Video Input for SD/HD-SDI (with embedded Audio) via BNC
interface.
Video Audio Comport GPIO:
Audio-, Video- and Data Output/Input for Composite, S-Video,
YP

, RGB, H- and V-Synchronisation, Audio-In, Audio-Out,
