MAINTENANCE
3--51
1550 Gas/LPG/Diesel MM283 (9--01)
PARKING BRAKES
The parking brakes are mechanically activated by
the parking brake lever and two cables.
The parking brake cables should be adjusted after
every 200 hours of operation or whenever the
machine rolls after setting the parking brake or
when it becomes very easy to set the parking
brake. To adjust the brake cables, turn the knurled
knob on the end of the parking brake clockwise.
Tighten the brake cable enough to make the
parking brake slightly resist being set.
TIRES
The machine is equipped with four pneumatic
tires. The air pressure in these tires is critical to
machine performance. Check the tire pressure
daily. The correct tire pressures are: 60 psi
(415 kPa) front, 70 psi (485 kPa) rear.
Tighten the wheel lug nuts in the pattern shown,
after every 200 hours of operation. Tighten lug
nuts 85 to 95 ft lb (115 to 130 Nm).
