Owner’s Manual
Thank you for purchasing the Ultra Fast NiMH/NiCd Charger. Please read
this manual carefully. It contains important operating instructions. This
Ultra Fast Charger will quickly and efficiently charge all AA or AAA Nickel
Cadmium (NiCd) or Nickel Metal-Hydride (NiMH) batteries. The built-in
high efficiency “switching” type power supply will adjust automatically to
any voltage from 100-240VAC, for international use.
Warning :
Batteries are not charged as shipped. Must be charged prior to first
use.
Charge
only
NiCd or NiMH type batteries on this charger.
Do Not
mix NiCd and NiMH batteries together when charging or
using. Keep all NiMH batteries and NiCd batteries separate.
Batteries may leak or explode causing personal injury if inserted
improperly, disposed of in fire, mixed with other battery types, or
short circuited.
Charging Instructions
1.
Put the batteries ( 1-4 pieces of AA or AAA ) inside the battery
compartment. Make correct contact for polarity ( + and - ) ;
according to the sign in the battery compartment.
2.
Plug the charger into any available 100-240VAC outlet. The built-in
switching power supply will adjust automatically. When using
overseas, a proper plug adaptor may be required (not supplied). The
status LED will glow red when the batteries are receiving charge.
3.
After charge is completed, the “status” LED will change to green to
indicate that the charge is completed and batteries are ready for use.
Once the status LED is green, the charger switches to “trickle” mode
to keep the batteries at full.
4.
Once charge is completed, remove batteries and unplug charger as
soon as it is practical. Do not leave batteries in charger for extended
periods of time (more than 2 days) OR when the charger is not
plugged in. Unplug the charger when not in use.

to charge the next set of batteries.

Bad Cell Detection :
When charge process is started, the charger detects the health status of
each of the cells in the battery compartment. If any battery is unsuitable
for charging. i.e. short circuit or reversed polarity, the status LED will flash.
The damage cell(s) should be properly disposed of.

Important Safety Instructions

Before charging, read instruction.
2.
This charger is intended for use with Nickel-Cadmium and
Nickel-metal-hydride rechargeable batteries only. Attempting to
charge other types of batteries may cause personal injury and
damage to the charger. Do not charge non-rechargeable
batteries.
3.
Recharge only one type of battery (Ni-Cd or Ni-MH) at each time.
4.
Do not expose charger to rain or moisture. For indoor use only.
5.
Remove from mains when not in use.
6.
Never use an extension cord or any attachment not recommended
by manufacturer, otherwise this may result in a risk of fire, electric
shock or injury to persons.
7.
Do not operate the charger if it has been subjected to shock or
damage. Take it to a qualified serviceman for repair.
8.
Do not disassemble the charger. Incorrect reassemble may result
in a risk of electric shock or fire.
9.
Unplug the charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance
of cleaning. Use damp cloth to clean the surface, do not immerse
into water.
10.
The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm
persons without supervision. Young children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance
.
11.
This power unit is intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical
or floor mount position.
