Note: if you switch screens during an upload, the process will be cancelled and you’ll need
to start over.
While updating via remote is more convenient than driving to the transmitter, there is
always a risk of updating by remote since you aren’t standing right in front of the unit.
Experience teaches us to pick an appropriate time for remote updates, and be ready with a
contingency plan, just in case!
System Settings
The System Settings section allows you to set various controls and time outs.
System Location
This text field allows you to describe where the unit is located in your physical plant. This
information is used in system log files.
Syslog Server IP
A comprehensive internal logging system is always running inside MPX Node, recording
conditions, actions and exceptions to a rotating log file. These logs can also be written to
a remote IP address, and may be useful for some large scale installations, or for diagnostic
use in conjunction with Telos Support.
