Installing the outdoor unit

1. 

Insert batteries into the outdoor unit.

2. 

Mount the outdoor unit on an elevated location.

3. 

Use a compass or GPS to align the outdoor unit so that the “S” by the wind vane on the unit 

is facing south.

Installing the indoor display unit

1. 

Insert batteries to operate the display without power adapter or as backup in case of a 

power outage.

2. 

Insert the DC plug of the power adapter by extending the stand on the bottom of the indoor 

unit. There are two positions for the DC plug, depending on if you want to use the display 

stand or mount it on the wall.

3. 

Place or mount the indoor unit.

4. 

Sensor values from the outdoor unit will be displayed shortly. If the display does not 

show values from the outdoor unit, it may need to be connected manually. Please see the 

Troubleshooting section for instructions.

Setting up the indoor display unit (time, date, etc)

1. 

Press and hold SET until the unit beeps.

2. 

Change values by pressing C or MIN/MAX/-.

3. 

Save changes by pressing (do not hold) SET.

Setting up an alarm

1. 

Start by pressing ALARM quickly.

2. 

Press and hold SET until the indoor display unit beeps.

3. 

Change values by pressing C or MIN/MAX/-.

4. 

Turn the alarm on or off by quickly pressing ALARM.

5. 

Save changes by pressing (do not hold) SET.

6. 

Alarms can be set for time, wind, temperature, humidity, rain and pressure.

Adding sensors to Telldus Live!

When TellStick has received signals from the indoor unit, 4 new sensors will be available:

• 

Wind direction, wind speed and gust

• 

Outdoor temperature and humidity

• 

Rain mm/h and total rain 

• 

Indoor temperature and humidity

Adding the sensors from a computer:

1. 

Browse to Telldus Live! (live.telldus.com) on your computer and log in to your account.

2. 

Click “View Sensors”.

3. 

Expand the row for the sensor you want to add and click Edit Sensor.

4. 

Name the sensor and click Save.

Adding the sensors from the Telldus Live app:

1. 

Open the Telldus Live! app on your mobile device.

2. 

Tap “Sensors”.

3. 

Tap ‘+’ in the top right corner.

4. 

Choose 433 MHz sensors.

5. 

Select the sensor you would like to add, and follow the guide to finish the process.

Other features

• 

Turn on LED on the display:

 If the LED is off, Press the SNOOZE button once. The backlight 

will turn on for 5 seconds, and if no operation is performed for 3 seconds, the backlight will 

turn off. The backlight operation is different when operating on batteries to save power.

• 

Sync with outdoor unit:

 If the outdoor sensor loses communication, dashes (--.-) will be 

displayed on the screen. To reacquire the lost signal, press and hold the CH/+ button for 5 

seconds to enter the sensor search mode. Make sure the sensor is within range and has 

fresh batteries.

• 

Reset MAX/MIN Values: 

The minimum and maximum value of all channels will be cleared in the reset mode. 

1. In normal mode, Press (do not hold) the MIN/MAX/-key. The MAX icon will be displayed. 

2. Press the SET key. 

3. Press and hold the MIN/MAX/- key for 3 seconds. CLR is flashing in the time area to clear 

the previous MAX values. The maximum values will now display the current values. 

To clear the minimum values, repeat the steps and make sure the MIN values are displayed 

in step 1. 

Maintenance

Clean the rain gauge and wind transmitter once every 3 months:

1. 

Unscrew the rain collector funnel by turning it 30°counter clockwise.

2. 

Gently remove the rain collector funnel.

3. 

Clean and remove any debris or insects. 

4. 

Install the collector funnel after it has been cleaned and completely dried.

Change batteries when needed. 

Troubleshooting

• 

Outdoor unit not reporting to indoor unit.

 If the outdoor sensor loses communication, 

dashes (--.-) will be displayed on the screen. To reacquire the lost signal, press and hold the 

CH/+ button for 5 seconds to enter the sensor search mode. Make sure the sensor is within 

range and has fresh batteries.

• 

Indoor unit display contrast is weak.

 Replace indoor unit batteries with fresh ones.

• 

TellStick does not receive values from indoor unit.

 Make sure the TellStick is well within 

range of the indoor unit. If it is closer than 1,5 m try moving them apart a little. Make sure 

the indoor unit display is working and the transmitter icon is flashing every 16 seconds. 

Also make sure you have a TellStick that can receive 433 MHz signals (TellStick ZNet Lite 

v2/Net v2/Net).
