when DC power is applied. If it is successful and the ONT is already activated at the
Panorama PON EMS, the PON Indicator will be solid green.
If a downstream optical signal is not seen, the PON Indicator LED will be solid red. This
may indicate that the PON port is disabled, failed, or a bad cable between the OLT and
ONT. If the ONT detects an optical signal but is not accepted on the PON, it will blink
green with a 1/2 second cadence. If the OLT is downloading the ONT which it will often
do when first attached to the system, it will blink green slowly at a 1 second cadence to
indicate the download in progress. If the ONT is blinking quickly then contact the
System Administrator to have the ONT activated. It may be necessary to provide or
verify the PON serial number.
Once the PON is activated, the PON Indicator will be solid green.
