Read command reports current service setting along with supported message types
in the format:
+CSMS: <service>,<mt>,<mo>,<bm>
where:
<service>
- messaging service (see above)
<mt>
- mobile terminated messages support (see above)
<mo>
- mobile originated messages support (see above)
<bm>
- broadcast type messages support (see above)
AT+CSMS=?
Test command reports the supported value of the parameter

Set command selects memory storages
<memr>
,
<memw>
and
<mems>
to be
used for reading, writing, sending and storing SMs.
Parameters:
<memr>
- memory from which messages are read and deleted
“ME” – SMS memory storage in Flash
“SM” – SIM SMS memory storage (default)
“SR” – Status Report message storage (in SIM EF-SMSR file exists, otherwise in
the RAM volatile memory)
Note: "SR" non volatile memory is cleared when another SIM card is inserted. It is
kept, even after a reset, while the same SIM card is inserted.
<memw>
- memory to which writing and sending operations are made
“SM” – SIM SMS memory storage (default)
“ME” – SMS memory storage in Flash
<mems>
- memory to which received SMs are preferred to be stored
“SM” – SIM SMS memory storage (default)
“ME” – SMS memory storage in Flash
