Tamper Switch Installation

For all UL/ULC Commercial Burglary Installations, a tamper switch must be wired to monitor the
communicator enclosure. The wiring from the tamper switch assembly to the panel shall be in a rigid
or flexible metal conduit or be supervised along with other wiring from the communicator to the
panel. The tamper switch does not connect to the communicator circuit board.

An easy-attach tamper switch assembly is included with the TG-7 and TG-7A communicator products
and contains installation instructions. If a tamper switch is needed for a TG-7FS or TG-7UB product,
the TG-TAMPER Accessory can be purchased from most Telguard distributors. Note that a tamper
switch is required when using the TG-7FS in a combination fire and burglary system.
