The IP-1616 is a eight-line full-
featured desktop control console
designed with VoIP Technology for
use with conventional radio
systems. The IP-1616 is a self-
contained dual processor based
console that does not require CEB
or under the desk CPU equipment.
The IP-1616 can be easily con-
nected to any internal Ethernet
network by connecting a standard
10/100 baseT cable to the back of
the unit and assigning it an address,
thus allowing for an unlimited
number of IP-1616 consoles to have
full control and functionality over
the system.
To program the IP-1616 console
you simply connect to the Ethernet
port on the back of the console and
use your favorite Web Browser on
your computer.
Unlike analog circuits any number
of consoles can be put in parallel
without causing loading issues.
The IP-1616 console has the
capability of controlling a cross-
patch between two or all eight of
its eight-lines. The dispatcher can
communicate with the cross-patch
group or operate on the other
unused channels.
Its four-line Liquid Crystal Display
provides channel alpha/numeric
indication and features a 12/24-
hour clock and audio-level display.
The IP-1616 comes with many
standard features such as F1-F16
function tones, Four Alert tones,
TX-ALL, RX-ALL, DTMF Key-
pad, Two Auxiliary buttons, RX
and TX Block, Parallel update,
DTMF Select Call per line, Paging
(2-tone, DTMF and Manual entry),
Instant call recorder allows you to
retrieve the last 4 minutes of either
select or unselect TX and RX
audio, Group select and VoIP con-
nection. Summed recorder outputs
for selected and unselected audio.
The IP-1616 console is compatible
with Vega’s other VoIP products
such as the C-6200, IP-223, and
C-Soft. Through these platforms
Motorola, M/A Com, Daniels,
Kenwood, and other tone or direct
connected radios can be remotely
controlled. The migration path cre-
ated with our VoIP products allows
users to make a gradual move to the
benefits of the VoIP world.
