BEFORE STARTING:
•
Before powering on the Central Unit, make sure that all units are properly connected to the Central Unit.
•
Connect the cables to either of the two ports on the back of the chairman or delegate units. It does not maTer which
one is selected since the signals run bi-‐direc>onally in the cables.
•
By connec>ng the discussion units in a loop back to the central unit, a redundancy route is established. If any sec>on
of the path in the loop is disrupted, the system will s>ll operate fully.
•
Make sure that the units are at least 3 feet away from each other to prevent acous>c feedback between adjacent
units.
•
The recommended distance from the talker to the microphone is between 8 to 16 inches.
•
Determine how you would like the microphones to operate (See the back of the D-‐Cerno Central Unit Menu Guide)
and select the appropriate mode using the Central Unit menu screen. The Central Unit remembers your previously-‐
selected se\ngs for the next discussion.
•
If the volume of all of the loudspeakers needs to be adjusted, it can only be controlled from the Central Unit or from
the web browser. (Web browser access is offered with the D-‐Cerno-‐CUR only.)
