You can connect a parallel (Centronics-type) dot matrix printer to
your Minicom 6000 if you want to print out your conversations, Auto-
Answer messages, Memos and Directory entries.
If your printer is Epson-compatible then you can change the size of
the characters that are printed to make them easier to read by setting
the print style.
Setting Up an External Printer
You will need a special cable to connect your external printer. Contact
Teletec International Ltd. for more information about printer cables.
Follow these steps to connect your printer to the Minicom 6000:
1. Take off the printer
port cover.
2. Plug the printer
cable into the
printer port.
3. Plug the other end
of the printer cable
into the printer.
4. Plug the printer’s
electrical plug into
a wall socket.
5. Turn the printer on.
