Configuring Settings for Your Facility
A few settings are required on your Lightspeed Live server before you launch the
Lightspeed Live Capture or Tape Capture web application. Some of these settings are
configured at the factory, but you should verify them and make additional custom
settings as follows:
1: Open the Vantage Management Console.
Launch the Vantage Management Console by double-clicking the desktop
icon.

2: Apply Your License.
Apply your Lightspeed Live Capture license by clicking
Licenses
in the left panel and
verifying that you have a Live Capture license.
If not, contact Telestream for a license, and click the
Add/Update a License
button
in
the Licenses panel to add the new license.
3: Activate User Administration.
Activate
User Administration
(or verify that it was activated at the factory.) Select
Settings & Options
in the left panel. On the General tab, verify that
Enable user
administration
is selected, and if not, select it. This must be enabled in order to use the
Lightspeed Live Capture web application.
You may also want to check
Use Windows Active Directory for Users
to use your Windows
logins for Vantage. Alternatively, you can create Vantage-only users if you leave the
Windows option unchecked. If you made any changes, click the
Save
icon
