SDI Input Cards
The standard (or optional HEVC; supported by Live Stream only) SDI input card is
installed in the Lightspeed Live server's lower right PCI card slot and provides four SD/
HD/3G-SDI serial digital (SDI) inputs allowing for 4 independent SD/HD/3G SDI signals
or 1 UHD/4K signal. Additionally, one input is provided for an analog Longitudinal
Timecode (LTC) for use across all SDI input signals (see
For the standard card each input consists of a mini-BNC connector and can be converted
to standard BNC with the included mini-standard BNC converter cables. For 4K and Ultra
HD, four BNC connectors provide one 4K or Ultra HD input. The 4K/UHD signal should be
connected to all four BNC inputs. All other resolutions use one BNC per input.
Note:
Live Capture 2SI UHD/4K supports 3G Levels A and B as defined in
. Live Capture SD/HD supports 3G Level A. (Level A consists of an uncompressed video
stream in a serial digital interface at 3 Gbit/s.)
