8.5.1. CPU
The unit’s CPU card, installed on the motherboard located inside the rear panel, is a low
power (5 VDC, 720mA max), high performance, Vortex 86SX-based microcomputer
running Windows CE. Its operation and assembly conform to the PC 104 specification.

The CPU includes two types of non-volatile data storage: a Disk on Module (DOM) with
an embedded 2MB flash chip.
8.5.1.1. Disk On Module (DOM)
The DOM is a 44-pin IDE flash drive with storage capacity to 128 MB. It is used to store
the computer’s operating system files, the Teledyne API firmware and peripheral files,
and the operational data generated by the analyzer’s internal data acquisition system
(DAS).
